Open Adoption and Parenting We feel that childhood should be brimming with laughter, spontaneity and creativity. We will encourage this through our own love of life, our natural ability to be playful and our intention to cherish our child for who she or he will be. We will always strive to find the right balance between providing structure and security as well as opportunities for our child to discover her or his unique talents, interests, and opinions. We have decided that open adoption is the best way to build our family. Raising a child in a fully open adoption allows a child to have a meaningful relationship with his or her birthmother and extended family. As adoptive parents, we will always honor and respect this incredibly important relationship.
